Encounter Christianity... In Words

We all like to speak, to be listened to and to be heard but it can be very difficult to listen. In Words addresses events in the life of Jesus where it was important for both him and the people he was with to listen carefully so they could understand each other better. Through speaking and listening, we reveal something of ourselves, we recognize and acknowledge other people and what they know and think, and we begin to understand each other better.

For Christians, the Word of God was born on earth as Jesus of Nazareth, so his life and what he said is vitally important in their lives. Through the use of questions and images, pupils are encouraged to identify why 'speaking and listening' is important, not just in their own lives but in the Christian religion.
